ASCAP Nashville hosted a #1 Party on May 3rd, 2012, to celebrate songwriters Chris Stapleton and Al Anderson along with publishers Sea Gayle Music Publishing, Small Fish Music, Big Yellow Dog Music, producer Tony Brown and UMG Nashville on George Strait's latest hit single "Love's Gonna Make It Alright." The achievement marks ASCAP songwriter Chris Stapleton's 4th #1 song. Previous Stapleton #1s include Darius Rucker's "Come Back Song," Kenny Chesney's "Never Wanted Nothing More" and "Your Man" by Josh Turner. To date, Stapleton has had 12 charting singles and cuts with many artists including Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Gary Allan, Miranda Lambert, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, Adele, Lee Ann Womack, Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, and Tim McGraw.
