Tim Williams and Matt Welsh have generated a lovely wave of buzz for their self-titled debut as Soft Swells the old-fashioned way: by writing great music and touring coast to coast. The summery, low-key indie pop on Soft Swells took on even breezier air when Williams and Welsh stopped by ASCAP's Los Angeles office to treat the staff to acoustic versions of a few songs. We caught them on tape playing album highlight "Lifeboats."
