Mark Winkler, a past participant of the ASCAP Foundation/Disney Musical Theatre Workshop, and Phillip Swann bring their new musical, Play it Cool, inspired by the jazz music of the 1950's, to New York City's Off-Broadway theatre, The Acorn Theatre, for its opening night on September 9th.

Once the toast of the L.A. live circuit, Carney is now the house band in Spiderman: Turn off the Dark musical, and frontman Reeve Carney has the lead role. Next up: opening for U2 in Canada. We talked to the band about its meteoric rise.

120 students from P.S. 212, the Midtown West Elementary School in Manhattan, received free orchestra level tickets to the Broadway matinee performance of Wicked as part of The ASCAP Foundation Children Will Listen program.
