| LONDON CALLING |
HOT SUMMER SOUNDS From punk to folk to concert music, these writers and composers reflect the great diversity of modern British music
Summer is here and for once the sun is actually shining in London. I don't want to blight the glorious weather by writing about it so....The UK is enjoying a musically buoyant time right now; we are midway through our live festival season which has already seen a very successful T in the Park event in Scotland, and David Conway's successful international music conference, London Calling, There are also some very exciting new albums out there by Muse, Lostprophets and Corinne Bailey Rae to name a few. Talk of great new music brings me neatly around to introducing four hot (oops I said I wouldn't mention the weather) new acts stirring up the UK scene at the moment. Sean Devine
