Brad Paisley, Joey+Rory Lead ASCAP ACM Winners
ASCAP's country music writers and artists shined at the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18th, 2010. Country superstar Brad Paisley surprised the crowd with a splash while performing his hit single, "Water," and accepted his 4th consecutive award for Top Male Vocalist of the Year soaking wet. Nashville darlings Joey + Rory took home Top New Vocal Duo of the Year, while rising stars Gloriana were honored with Top New Vocal Group of the Year.
The ceremony, which honors country music's top talent as well as the industry's hottest emerging talent, was hosted for an unprecedented 12th time by ASCAP Member and 2010 ACM Award nominee Reba McEntire, who delivered a heartfelt rendition of her song "I Keep On Lovin' You" in a tribute to Nashville's most recognizable and enduring couples.
