ASCAP presents a diverse array of performers at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis

ASCAP was on hand for the 2010 International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis this past February with a multi-genre showcase of established and rising songwriter-performers. Those who performed were: Hoboken's honky-tonk/bluegrass-flavored duo, the Demolition String Band (Elena Skye and Boo Reiners); New England's youthful keyboard ace and teen idol Seth Glier; Austin favorite Tish Hinojosa; Michigan folk-rocker Caleb Hawley; Southern California's entrancing Jamaica Rafael; Virginia's emerging folkie couple, Devon Sproule and Paul Curreri; and Philadelphia power-pop master Jim Boggia. Headlining the well-attended ASCAP evening was high-energy Americana icon Michelle Shocked, who brought the room to its feet.

Fellow ASCAP members at the Folk Alliance Conference who came to cheer on Shocked included legendary bassist Freebo, singer-songwriter and guitarist Patty Larkin and singer songwriter Joel Zoss ("Too Long at the Fair").
