For yet another year, ASCAP composers and songwriters have secured the lion’s share of Primetime Emmy nominations. In an announcement made on July 8th, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences revealed that 20 out of 27 nominated scores and songs were written or co-written by ASCAP members and international affiliates. This includes a nomination for 2010 Oscar/Golden Globe/Grammy/BAFTA winner Michael Giacchino, and many repeat nominees from last year: Sean Callery, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Marcelo Zarvos.

The live Emmy broadcast will be telecast on Sunday, August 29th on NBC.

ASCAP congratulates all of our nominees, and wishes them all the best of luck!
